Planting and Care of Walnut Saplings by Month

NOVEMBER

  • The pits where the saplings will be planted should be 60×60 cm in size, the pit should be filled halfway with a mixture of top soil and 2-3 shovels of burnt animal manure. Burnt animal manure: It is very important for the seedling in that the soil does not squeeze the root of the seedling and keeps the seedling warm in winter and moist and cool in summer. However, if burnt animal manure cannot be found, chemical root fertilizers should be used. These fertilizers are 20-20 or 18-46 (DAP) and should be used by throwing 150-200 grams at the bottom of the pit.

  • The root pruning of the walnut sapling is done (part of the long roots are taken), the sapling is placed in the pit so that the graft site is 5 cm above the soil, annealed soil is placed on the root part, and the top is filled with other soil, up to 5 liters of life water is given.
